Traction Transformer Core

The traction transformer core is specifically designed for high-speed rail and electrified railway main line power supply. These transformers face frequent overloads and severe load fluctuations. This requires excellent mechanical strength and magnetic stability from the core. We use high-permeability grain-oriented silicon steel coils from Baowu and Ansteel. This material has low losses and high permeability. It maintains stable voltage output even under frequent impulse loads. This reduces energy loss and keeps the system running efficiently.

Our factory has 4 slitting lines and 15 shearing lines. The slitting lines cut wide silicon steel coils into the required widths. The shearing lines then cut the strips into precise sheet lengths. All shearing operations are fully automated. This ensures that every sheet has accurate dimensions and a smooth cut edge. Our quality team pays special attention to burr height at the cut edge. Excessive burrs can cause short circuits between laminations. This increases core loss. We keep burrs well within industry standards. Our traction transformer core is built to last.
