The core limb is the most basic and critical component of a transformer core. It is the part where the coils are installed and where the magnetic flux is carried. The cross-section shape, dimensional accuracy, and lamination quality of the core limb directly determine the electrical performance of the transformer. We use genuine grain-oriented silicon steel coils from Baowu and Ansteel to produce our core limbs. The thickness options include 0.23mm, 0.27mm, and 0.30mm. We use automated and intelligent shearing processes for mass production. All 15 shearing lines have CNC systems. These systems precisely control the width, length, and cut quality of each silicon steel sheet. Our equipment eliminates the thickness variations that can occur with manual operations. Each sheet maintains consistent dimensions within the tolerance range. Dimensional accuracy is directly related to the flatness and fill factor after lamination. Custom Cross-Section Shapes
The cross-section of a core limb can be rectangular or stepped circular. A stepped circular limb makes better use of the circular space inside the coil. However, it is more difficult to manufacture. Our technical team can design stepped lamination patterns. They generate the width combination for each step based on your cross-section requirements. During production, our operators follow the lamination plan step by step. After completing each step, they measure the width and thickness. This ensures accurate dimensions at every level. Our core limb meets your design specifications.
Independent Inspection for Each Unit
In our quality control process, we inspect each core limb individually. The inspection includes total thickness, width at each step, verticality, and surface flatness. Burr inspection is also a key focus. Excessive burrs can cause short circuits between laminations. This increases core loss. We require cut edge burrs to be kept within a very low limit. Only limbs that pass all inspections proceed to the final assembly stage. They are then combined with the yokes to form a complete transformer core. We also provide batch test reports for your reference during acceptance. Our core limb is quality assured.
