The reactor iron core is the core component that forms the magnetic circuit in a reactor. Unlike transformer cores, reactor cores usually need an air gap to adjust the inductance. This meets different compensation or current-limiting needs. We pay special attention to the precision and consistency of the air gap during production. A gap that is too large reduces the inductance. A gap that is too small can cause magnetic saturation. We use genuine silicon steel coils from Baowu and Ansteel. We precisely calculate and machine the air gap size based on your specific inductance and current parameters. Our reactor iron core is engineered for accuracy.

Our production equipment includes laser cutters and CNC bending machines. The laser cutter is used to process special-shaped silicon steel sheets and non-standard air gaps. The CNC bending machine is used to make the clamping structures for the reactor core. Common models include CKSC, BKSC, and PCKSG series. The capacity range covers 6kvar to 2400kvar. We can also process disc-type or column-type reactor cores based on your drawings. These serve industrial compensation, harmonic filtering, and series current limiting applications. Our quality control focuses on air gap uniformity and core limb verticality. Our inspectors use feeler gauges and special gap tools to take multiple measurements on each core. This ensures the gap deviation stays within the design tolerance. Non-uniform gaps can cause increased noise and local overheating due to electromagnetic vibration. We also check the torque on the clamping bolts. We ensure the clamping force is appropriate. It should be tight enough to prevent loosening but not so tight that it damages the silicon steel coating.
